Vamana (Emesis Therapy)
This therapy involves the prescription of a selected drug in a specific dose to induce emesis, effectively eliminating morbid Kapha Dosha.
Virechana (Purgation Therapy)
A specific drug is prescribed in a specific dose to induce purgation, thereby eliminating morbid Pitta Dosha.
Asthapana Basti (Decoction Enema)
In this procedure, selected drugs are administered through the rectal route in a specific dose and order. It is used to treat Vata, Pitta, and Kapha Dosha.
Anuvasana Basti (Unctuous Enema)
Selected oil or ghee is administered through the rectal route to treat Vata Dosha. These enemas are administered together in courses ranging from 8 to 30 days.
Nasya
Selected drugs in specific doses are instilled through the nostrils, primarily used to treat vitiated Vata, Pitta, and Kapha Dosha above the clavicle. These treatments are advised after a thorough examination to prepare the body through internal and external oilation and sudation therapies.
